Not a bad place to rest your head. Breakfast wasn't good. No bin bags in the bin in our bathroom was a bit strange. Everything looks a bit worn and old.

I stayed one night at the hotel overnight recently for a conference and was as always very pleased with my stay. Marie at the reception was most welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room I was given was the best I had so far which was 323 which suited me great only having one bed in the accommodation as in the past I have been given a room with three beds which makes it more impersonal and bigger and less friendly when on my own. Heating, cleanliness and the overall standards were very good. The meal in the bar was little slow in service and slightly overdone but for the price I am not complaining. Our conference dinner the next day was excellent and well served and pleasant staff. This was my fourth visit and stay for conferences run by the safeguarding committee and I welcome returning again. Lovely hotel, very nice room but unfortunately could not sleep very well due to noise (it sounded like the heating system in the hotel)

The shower controls were stiff and needed some attention. The cold water bath tap leaked continually. Neither was a major inconvenience but could be in the future.
